Metro Swing Promotions have a variety of hot acoustic jazz, swing, blues and country sounds that can provide the finishing touch of quality to events large and small.
Here are some examples of the line-up’s available:
Metro Swing – French sounding, hot club style guitar duet. Mixing classic sounds of pre-war France (think Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli) with 50’s jazz standards, a little Russian and a hint of Latin to keep things exciting.
If the full hot club gypsy jazz sound is required bass, violin and even clarinet is available to enlarge the ensemble to your requirements.
El Mondo Combo – Take three amazing musicians (2 acoustic guitars and double bass), mix in a helping of jazz, a dose of blues, a pinch of country, some great vocals and you get the phenomena that is El Mondo Combo.
Featuring the incredible talents of blues roots legend Tony Farinha this exciting combo never fails to hit the right spot and keep your foot tapping all night.
Walkin’ Shoes – If you prefer your jazz more ‘mainstream’ this quartet will delight you. Out front is the talented alto saxophone of Andy Walker who always blows up a storm of cool notes. From straightahead swing to lilting Latin ballads the driving double bass, smooth guitar, sophisticated drums and sharp suits blend with the mellow sax to create a fantastic atmosphere.
